I grew up in the Twin Cities and received my B.A. degree in English from the University of Minnesota. With a background in marketing and communications, event planning, and new business development, Certes has truly been a great fit for both my talents and my passions.
My career path has led me to the understanding that I am guilty of being a stereotypical "liberal arts major." If there is an interest that I've had, I've probably found some way to turn it into a career at some point in time.
Many in our finance and accounting community might know me from my days as the director of membership for the Minnesota
Society of CPAs (MNCPA). I later held roles as a
new business development manager for an art school and was the director of
education for another industry association. I spend most of my time at Certes
leading our PR, advertising, and communications efforts, as well as overseeing the growth of our two networking groups, FEWnet and Nextworking.

I enjoy helping small businesses develop marketing strategies and grow into profitable businesses. On a personal note, I love to travel, try new restaurants, go to the gym, and spend time with friends and family on our deck in Minneapolis.
