I have a B.S. degree in Technical Communications with an emphasis in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. My human resources career began with Target while I was in college. I worked as a personnel assistant for the first Target store ever built in Roseville, Minnesota. After graduating, I worked as a recruiter/personnel generalist for Higher Education Management and Resources (HEMAR) Services Corporation. Then I moved on to Fortis and had varying roles in recruiting, payroll, compensation, relocation, benefits, and project management. I came to Certes in 1994 as the HR manager. After working here five years, I took four years off to stay at home with my family and then very happily returned to the fold.

I have many interests and hobbies. I love athletics and play in women's hockey and softball leagues. When I can, I help coach my son's hockey team. I am very fond of gardening and hope to go through the master gardener program in the future. I love to read and I am a member of a book club. I also enjoy camping and traveling as much as time allows when you have three kids.

I believe everyone in life can be successful and that a little bit of luck can't hurt. I also believe that affordable health care in America has reached a crisis level and I hope to become more involved politically on this front. Friends and family are the most valuable entity in my life and I try to never take them for granted. |
