I was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. I grew to love the town so much that I went to college there too! In 2003, I graduated from Iowa State University with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Psychology. I studied overseas at the University of Wales in Swansea for a semester, which still proves to be one of the best experiences of my life.

I spent my first three years “in the real world” working at an advertising agency here in the Twin Cities, gaining valuable experience in marketing, corporate communications, event planning, and relationship management. That experience solidified my passion for building relationships and serving as a resource to others. At Certes, I'm empowered to leverage my strengths while continuing to grow and develop as a professional. Certes is a place unlike any other and I am thrilled to be a part of this one-of-a-kind team!

Most of my spare time is spent with my husband, Michael, and our lovable black lab. Michael and I enjoy the outdoors and love camping during the summer and watching college football in the fall. Road trips to visit friends and family in Kansas City, Chicago, and the long haul to Nashville are always fun. Recreational favorites include biking, rollerblading, walking, and golfing. I enjoy cooking, though I’m no professional (as my husband can attest!). In keeping with saving the best for last, spending quality time with family and friends is always one of my favorite things to do.
