I grew up on a farm in the northwest corner of North Dakota and obtained my B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of North Dakota. I subsequently started my career in the Twin Cities with Arthur Andersen (many thanks to the spectacular UND Andersen alums for their recruiting efforts, which provided me and so many other grads with such a great start!). I spent four years in the audit practice working with small to mid-sized clients in varying industries.
In 1999, I went to work for United Sugars Corporation, where I spent six years managing the challenges of the accounting function. While scouting for a new opportunity, I crossed paths with the budding Certes Perm Placement Network. The chance to work in an environment so complimentary to my personality and values, while being able to use my financial background to positively impact the lives of others in the industry, was simply irresistible.

I married my high school sweetheart (I am a lucky girl), who is also a CPA. We enjoy spending time with family and friends and make a number of trips back to "NoDak" whenever possible. Our chocolate lab, Opie, completes our happy trio.
