I grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (a CPA factory) with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Karen Oman and I went to the same high school (St. Edmond's). Small world! I have worked in various financial and operational roles from auditing, external reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and operations to VP of manufacturing with Recovery Engineering (PUR), Graco, and KPMG. After 9 years of finance and 9 years in operations, I came to Certes for life balance and an opportunity to spend more time with people. I found working with people is what makes me happy.

Family time is high on my list....My husband, Kent, is also a CPA (we met at KPMG) and is a very good client! We have 2 children, a son at the University of St. Thomas and a daughter working towards her MBA at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. When we're not enjoying watching our son play football for UST, we are spending time at our cabin near Brainerd. I love coffee and chocolate and make sure I have each every day. I like to be busy which drives my family crazy at times - too much multitasking for them. I also enjoy pilates, weight lifting, biking, boating, down hill skiing, gardening, and volunteering.
