Jonathan Haugen

My Role

Develop and manage business relationships with clients and consultants in finance and accounting. Work closely with each business partner to provide value-added contract placements in the Twin Cities market.

Background

I grew up in Winona, MN, and received a B.A. in Economics at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Upon graduation, I moved to Minneapolis and began my career in banking, learning bank operations and deposit/loan services. I moved on to the retail industry and worked in cash management/treasury, internal audit, fraud prevention training, and finance management. After learning that I enjoyed the people side of my work more than the number crunching, I moved into the staffing industry in 2004. After gaining 7 years of experience in recruiting and business development, I was drawn to Certes for their long-standing reputation of exceptional client service and ethics, and I am thrilled be a part of the team!

Interests

Many things interest me, but my primary interests involve cooking, golf, reading, and time with family. I am married with two active sons, ages 9 and 7, who keep us very busy. I am looking forward to taking my boys on their first canoe and camping trip to the BWCA. I also enjoy volunteering at my sons’ school, where there are always projects and events going on.

Beliefs

"Do the right thing" is how I try to live my life. My dad’s advice when I started my career was: "whatever you do - good or bad – will eventually come back to you."
