I grew up in Fargo and graduated from Moorhead State University with B.S. degrees in Accounting and Management. I joined Deloitte & Touche's Minneapolis office after graduation and spent four years in audit before moving to the securities industry, a move that encompassed the next 19 years of my professional life.
As Director of Finance for Piper Jaffray or Controller for Norwest Investment Services (now Wells Fargo), I always thought the fast-pace of the securities industry fit my personality and goals perfectly. A self-proclaimed "queen of multi-tasking," I experienced my first "a-ha" moment when I tried to balance my frantic work life with the needs of my family. Life is short and I realized I was missing out on some of the best parts. Joining the Certes culture has given me flexibility and the fast paced environment I thrive in, so I get the best out of both work and home.

I have three teenagers that dictate most of my daily activities. In the rare moments I call my own, I enjoy good books, good wine, and good friends (with a few workouts in between). I am actively involved with my church and I teach confirmation. I also serve on the board of Nexus Treatment Programs for adolescents with behavioral issues.
